Blake Bortles and the Jacksonville Jaguars are set to face off against the Atlanta Falcons this week. Atlanta has been struggling in a big way and there are many reasons to believe that Bortles could have a big week against their secondary. Bortles has been one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL and has proven that he can be a long-term starting option for Jacksonville.

Looking ahead to this week, Fantasy Football owners should be excited about Bortles’ potential.

Throughout the 2015 NFL season to this point in time, Bortles has completed 57.5 percent of his passes for 3,524 yards, 30 touchdowns and 13 interceptions. He has quietly been one of the top quarterbacks in the entire NFL.

That being said, what should Fantasy Football owners expect from Bortles this week against the Falcons?

Atlanta has been struggling in a big way over the past few weeks. Matt Ryan has been awful, but their defense has completely fallen apart as well. That bodes well for Bortles’ chances to have a huge week.

Bortles has been lucky enough to have dangerous targets all across the field. Allen Robinson has broken out with a massive season and Allen Hurns has put together a good year as well. Put those two alongside of tight end Julius Thomas and the Jaguars have a trio of consistent targets for him to use.

There is no question that the Jaguars are going to put up the type of numbers to make Bortles a must start this week.

Predicting his numbers is not easy this week, but there is good reason to believe that he will be a top scoring quarterback this week. He may not be the No. 1 scoring quarterback in the league, but top-five would be understandable.
