The Green Bay Packers currently hold the 21st pick of the 2014 NFL Draft, and there have been many rumors surrounding them over the past week or two. With the draft nearly underway, the pieces and expectations are starting to fall into place about who the Packers will end up selecting with their pick. According to draft insider Tony Pauline, the Packers are currently expected to select either Ohio State linebacker Ryan Shazier or Alabama linebacker C.J. Mosley.

There is no surprise in hearing those two names come up when talking about the Packers’ draft needs, as the linebacker position is definitely a hole that needs to be filled. Both of these players are capable of stepping in immediately and helping the defense step up this coming season. If one of these two players is available, the Packers will likely be happy to scoop them up and take them off the board.
Most draft analysts believe that the Packers have a very good chance at snagging one of these two linebackers. Mosley has been the player that has been linked to the Packers the most, but Shazier has been mentioned quite a bit recently. Either way, the Packers would be getting a legitimate leader for their future linebacking corps.
