In case you were wondering, the Pittsburgh Steelers will indeed start wide receiver Mike Wallace Sunday night against Denver.
The Steelers may have wanted to keep that information a secret but teammate Emmanuel Sanders confirmed to Ed Bouchette of the Pittsburgh Post-Gazette that Wallace would start in Week 1.
Steelers fans may be happy to hear that Wallace has noticed a change in Ben Roethlisberger.
“I haven’t been with Ben (Roethlisberger) in a while,” Wallace said. “His arm is stronger than when we left last year. He was throwing that thing pretty far.”
Wallace expressed to the media that he doesn’t think he will be limited and says he has a good grasp on the new system set in place by offensive coordinator Todd Haley.
The Steelers hope Wallace will be ready to go as he will be lined up against one of the best corners in the league on Sunday, Champ Bailey.
