Pittsburgh Steelers injury update

Pittsburgh Steelers Pro Bowl linebacker James Harrison did not practice for a second consecutive day Friday. Players who do not practice Friday do not play on Sunday traditionally under coach Mike Tomlin.

Harrison underwent minor surgery last month on his knee, and says he is still experiencing pain and discomfort. He was not removed from the unable to preform list until last week.

The Steelers list him as questionable while Harrison says its a “game-time decision.”

Running back Rashard Mendenhall is listed as doubtful to play against the Broncos on Sunday as he continues to recover from a torn ACL. Backups Isaac Redman and Jonathan Dwyer will split the carries Sunday night.

Rookie guard David DeCastro was placed on injured reserve Friday. He sustained a left knee injury during the Steelers third preseason game.

The Steelers signed cornerback DeMarcus Van Dyke on Friday.
