Matt Schaub celebrates Texans victory with a contract extension

The Houston Texans are ready to commit to quarterback Matt Schaub for the present and future as they sign him to a four-year contract extension worth $62 million, according to the NFL.com.

After the Texans 30-10 win over the Dolphins, Texans general manager Rick Smith announced that the team has signed Schuab to a contract extension.

Schaub will be guaranteed $30 million.

The Texans are also trying to sign linebacker Connor Barwin to a long-term deal.

Schaub threw for 266 yards and one touchdown during Houston’s win on Sunday.

Arian Foster led the Texans with 79 yards rushing and three touchdowns while receiver Andre Johnson caught 8 passes for 119 yards and one touchdown.
