Lions’ Calvin Johnson expects lots of trash talk

Detroit Lions wide receiver Calvin Johnson says he expects to hear lots of trash talk after being on the cover of “Madden NFL 13″.

“I’ll probably get a little ‘Madden’ stuff from linebackers and linemen and stuff. They talk the most trash,” Johnson said. “Those are the ones who talk the most trash. You don’t have to see them, so they talk trash all day.

“But it’s all fun and games. I don’t get a lot or too much from the guys on the outside. We’re out there working.”

The Lions play the Rams at 1 p.m. ET, today at Ford Field.

“My coach says the best way to earn your opponent’s respect is to go out there and beat them on every play,” Johnson said. “So we’re going to come out here and give them our best effort. That’s not a question. We’re going to play fast and hard.”
