JaVale McGee re-signs with Denver Nuggets

Center JaVale McGee tweets he has re-signed with the Denver Nuggets. McGee signed the four-year, $44 million contract late Wednesday night.

McGee tweeted, “Just signed with Denver, could not be happier! Thank you to the Kroenke family and the fans for their support.”

McGee says he he is very happy with the new deal.

McGee, 7-0, 252, averaged 11.3 points, 7.8 rebounds and 2.6 blocks in 61 games with the Nuggets and Wizards last season.

Nuggets Executive Vice President of Basketball Operations Masai Uijiri had this to say about McGee:

“JaVale did a tremendous job for us after the trade, he worked hard on the court and did everything our coaches asked of him. Plus, he’s only 24 years old. With our coaching staff, he’s only going to get better.”
