Dallas Cowboys tight end Jason Wittten will reportedly play tonight against the New York Giants.
Witten, who suffered a lacerated spleen Aug. 13 against the Raiders, has been cleared by doctors and is feeling good to play, but will wear protective gear. He was on the field during warmups catching passes from quarterback Tony Romo.
Romo will now have his favorite target on the field.
Witten was listed as doubtful for the season opener and the Cowboys were taking extreme caution with the injury. But they have been assured no further damage could be done to himself by playing.
