Bears’ Brian Urlacher will likely start on Thursday

Chicago Bears linebacker Brian Urlacher will likely start against the Green By Packers on Thursday night.

On Sunday, Urlacher’s role was reduced during the Bears win over the Colts, so he would be available to play against the Packers.

Urlacher was given the day off on Tuesday, but coach Lovie Smith says everything is good to go with the linebacker.

”I think Brian is good to go on everything,” Bears coach Lovie Smith said via Mark Potash of the Chicago Sun-Times. ”As far as how it compares from back then, I can’t really say that. I just know that Brian’s going to start the game this week. He’s in good shape. We don’t feel like there’s any issues that he has dealing with the knee. Brian is just like any of the other players as I see it right now. Short week, little sore, but should be ready to go by game time.”

Urlacher was not the only missing defensive starter for Tuesday’s practice. Cornerback Charles Tillman was sidelined with a shin injury, which he suffered in the game against the Colts.
