Iouri Podladtchikov of Switzerland won the gold in men’s snowboard halfpipe on Tuesday with a score of 94.75 at the Rosa Khutor Extreme Park.
Ayumu Hirano took silver and Taku Hiraoka won the bronze.
American Shaun White, who was trying to win his third consecutive gold, finished in fourth, while Danny Davis finished in tenth and Gregory Bretz finished 12th after falling in both of his final runs.

“I think it’s great the American public and the world now knows that there are other snowboarders besides Shaun White,” Davis said, via USA Today. “Shaun’s, don’t get me wrong, one of the most talented, one of the best riders there are, but there are guys who are just as good if not better and today Iouri was the best rider.”
