The Pittsburgh Steelers are set to face off against the Philadelphia Eagles in the second week of NFL preseason action. Both teams are looking to make strides forward as preparation for the 2016 NFL regular season gets ready to begin. It is going to be an entertaining game, although all preseason games show a bit of rust.

Game Prediction: Needless to say, these two teams both have high hopes for the upcoming season. Pittsburgh is a serious contender in the AFC, although Philadephia have quite a few question marks at this point in time.

Doug Pederson is hoping to turn the Eagles around after a disappointing stretch with Chip Kelly. He was fired before the 2015 season ended, which has put the Eagles back in the right direction. Sam Bradford is set to start at the quarterback position once again, while they have also improved their defense and the offense around Bradford outside of the running back position.

Ben Roethlisberger and the Steelers are heading into the season as the favorite to win the AFC North division title. They have a solid all-around defense once again this season as usual and have plenty of playmakers around their franchise quarterback. Le’Veon Bell will make or break their season, although he has to figure out how to stay out of off-the-field issues.

It should be an interesting game with quite a few different things to keep an eye on. Each team has players who are fighting for roster spots, which means that there will be a lot of effort on-the-field despite the fact that the game is meaningless in the long run.

Final Score Prediction: Pittsburgh Steelers 24, Philadelphia Eagles 17
