Steelers place Levi Brown and David Johnson on injured reserve

Levi Brown

The Pittsburgh Steelers have placed offensive tackle Levi Brown and tight end/fullback David Johnson on the Reserve/Injured List, the team announced Tuesday.

Brown was acquired via a trade with the Arizona Cardinals on Oct. 2.  He started four games for the Cardinals this season but did not appear in a game for the Steelers.

Brown was expected to play Sunday, but he suffered a triceps injury in pregame warmups.

Johnson, fifth-year pro, appeared in all five of the Steelers games this season, making two starts and catching four passes.

The Steelers have signed free agent  tight end Richard Gordon and promoted cornerback Isaiah Green from the practice squad.
