Kenny Stills is one of the best young wide receivers in the NFL, but the New Orleans Saints have reportedly been looking to trade him.

According to a report from Rand Getlin, the Miami Dolphins are finalizing a deal to acquire Stills from the Saints.

According to ProFootballTalk the Saints are acquiring linebacker Dannell Ellerbe and a third-round pick.

It is a shocking decision by the Saints to say the very least, especially after the trade of star tight end Jimmy Graham. These are the type of moves that will make quarterback Drew Brees want out of town. They are taking major steps backward from last season even, when they finished outside the playoff picture.

During the 2014 season, Stills ended up catching 63 passes for 931 yards and three touchdowns.

Miami is very happy to taking Stills off of the Saints’ hands if they’re serious about dealing him. This deal is going to happen, and the Saints are now going to be down two of their top targets from last season. It sees like very bad decision-making, but that cannot be judged until the offseason is over.

One thing is for sure, the Saints are not going to be Super Bowl contenders unless they make more moves. They did sign Brandon Browner and acquired Max Unger and a second first-round pick so far. Those are good moves, but Brees and the offense are going to take a step back after losing both Graham and Stills this offseason in trades.
