Report: Jermichael Finley likely to miss four to six weeks

Green Bay Packers tight end Jermichael Finley has been told by doctors that he should be released from the hospital within the next 24 hours, reports ESPN.

According to ESPN sources, Finley will likely miss at least four to six weeks.  He will not require surgery and all current indications are that he will be able to resume his NFL career.

Finley’s current diagnosis is that he suffered a spinal contusion located in his neck, but it should heal and he will not be at higher risk for suffering another spinal injury.

Finley might visit more neurosurgeons and specialists in treating spinal injuries once he is released from the hospital. His MRIs are being sent to doctors for evaluation.
