Baltimore Ravens head coach John Harbaugh is not impressed with wide receiver Jacoby Jones.
According to a TMZ report, Jones and other Ravens players were in Washington, D.C., to celebrate Bryant McKinnie’s birthday.
At about 3 a.m., Jones was reportedly struck in the head with a gigantic bottle of Ace of Spades by a stripper named Sweet Pea in the party bus. Jones began bleeding and an ambulance was called, but Jones was not taken to the hospital, according to the report.
According to TMZ, police responded to the scene but no arrests were made.
“We got reports of that middle of the morning, this morning sometime I think I heard about that,’ Harbaugh said Monday, via USA Today. “As far as him, he’s fine. He went through everything today that he was supposed to go through. He didn’t miss anything. I’m not very impressed personally with the report. It’s not something we want to be known for. I would like to think it’s not something those guys would want to be known for. It’s nothing to be proud of. So I’m kind of disappointed in that sense.”
“Of course, we’re going to have conversations, and we’ve had conversations about that and other things. I’ll probably keep that between us and address it with the team. What do you want to be known for, you know? Do you want to be known as a football player ? Or do you want to be known for that? I don’t think that’s anything to be proud of.”
Harbaugh turned 51 today . When asked if it could be assumed that he will not celebrate on a party bus, he laughed and said, “I’m going to pretend that question never happened.”
John Harbaugh said he talked to the team about the incident and that Jacoby Jones, health-wise, is fine.
