The Kansas City Chiefs are likely headed to Indianapolis to play the Colts in an AFC wild-card matchup.
The 10-3 Chiefs didn’t clinch a playoff spot with their 45-10 win over the Washington Redskins on Sunday, but they can this weekend with a win over the 4-9 Raiders in Oakland.
The Chiefs can also secure a spot in the playoffs if either the Baltimore Ravens (at Detroit next Monday night) or the Miami Dolphins (at home on Sunday against New England) lose.
The Chiefs are likely to hold onto the 5th seed in the AFC playoffs. Indianapolis, which has clinched the AFC South, looks destined for the 4th seed.
“It’s December,” safety Quintin Demps said. “We’ve been through our adversity, which all good teams, all Super Bowl teams, go through. It’s time to get on a roll.”
The Chiefs and Colts will play a regular-season game on Dec. 22 at Arrowhead Stadium.
