The San Diego Chargers and running back Danny Woodhead have agreed on a two-year contract extension.
“Danny is an integral part of our offense,” said general manager Tom Telesco. “His work ethic and on-field production were key elements last year. We look forward to having him be a part of the Chargers organization into the future.”
Financial terms haven’t been disclosed. Woodhead had one-year remaining on his previous contract.
Last season, Woodhead had 76 catches, 605 yards, six receiving touchdowns and 1,296 all-purpose yards.
Woodhead, a seven-year veteran, was signed as a free agent last offseason after he spent three seasons in New England.
