The Tampa Bay Buccaneers selected University of Washington tight end Austin Seferian-Jenkins with the 38th overall pick in the 2014 NFL draft.
While in college, Jenkins had 146 completions for 1,840 yards and 21 touchdowns.
The addition of Jenkins gives new quarterback Josh McCown another large target. The 6-foot-6 junior joins the Bucs seventh overall pick, wide receiver Mike Evans and veteran wide out Vincent Jackson. Both Evans and Jackson stand just shy of Jenkins’ height at 6-foot-5. This combination of targets provides McCown with a similar style of offense that he ran last season with the Chicago Bears.
The Bucs have been focused on their offense through the first two rounds of the draft. They still have the fifth pick in the third round, the third pick in the fifth round and the sixth pick in the seventh round.
