Getting to Know Florida State Tight End Mavin Saunders

Mavin Saunders is a four-star tight end football commit to Florida State. He is expected to be a very big piece of the Seminoles’ recruiting class, and has agreed to do this exclusive interview with Sports Glory. We hope that you enjoy the interview!

Q. Thanks for taking the time to do this interview Mavin, how are you doing today?

A. Great. Just getting ready for FSU.

Q. What made you commit to FSU? What were the deciding factors?

A. I committed in June, so they weren’t champs yet. But I went up there and met all the players. It’s a great area, everyone is nice, the school is great, and it’s close to my hometown.

Q. Are you close with any other D-1 players? Any FSU players/commits in particular?

A. Yes. Wilson Bell who is at FSU.

Q. What would you say is your career highlight to this point in your career? Maybe one play or game that stands out?

A. Winning the championship this year.

Q. How would you describe your game to a fan who hasn’t seen much of you?

A. Raw. I just started playing two years ago so I’m just using my athleticism right now until I learn the game more.

Q. Where do you see yourself fitting in this coming season? Do you expect to get playing time?

A. I’m just going in to compete and do my best to play. I think I could help this year, yes.

Q. What do you enjoy doing in your free time off the field?

A. Going to church, working out, and hanging with friends.

Q. Is there a current tight end either in college or the NFL that you try to model your game after?

A. Jimmy Graham.

Q. With the Super Bowl coming up, what is your prediction?

A. Seattle 24-20.

Q. Thanks for doing this interview with us! Anything you’d like to say to the FSU fan base?

A. No problem. Let’s try to repeat!
