The Cleveland Cavaliers acquired Kevin Love in a trade with the Minnesota Timberwolves knowing the six-year pro could opt out in 2015 and sign elsewhere.
Love could decide to opt out of the final year of his current deal and just re-sign with Cleveland this summer.
Or he could opt out and listen to other teams offers.
If he does the latter, expect the Boston Celtics to be one of the teams after the 26-year-old.
“The Celtics have a ton of cash and are geared up to use it. Target number one is Kevin Love. Target number two is Greg Monroe. Sources close to the process say the Celtics plan to swing for the proverbial fences this summer including runs at Gasol, Leonard and Butler too.”
Love is averaging 17 points and 10.2 rebounds in his first season with Cleveland.[PBT]
