Report: Cavaliers, Celtics, Nets agree to trade involving four players

Jarrett Jack

The Cleveland Cavaliers, Brooklyn Nets and Boston Celtics have agreed to a trade that will be completed Thursday.

According to ESPN’s Marc Stein, the Cavaliers will trade point guard Jarrett Jack and shooting guard Sergey Karasev to the Brooklyn Nets.  The  Celtics will acquire Brooklyn’s Marcus Thorton, Cleveland’s Tyler Zeller and a future first-round pick from the Cavaliers.

Cleveland will have to acquire at least one future second-rounder from either Brooklyn or Boston to complete the transaction.

The Cavaliers deal will create about $21.7 million more salary-cap space for the pursuit of LeBron James.
