Anthony has a Monday deadline to opt-out of the $23.5 million for the 2014-’15 season.
New York can offer the 30-year-old Anthony the most money and security, a five-year, $125 million-plus contract, but he’s open to joining an immediate contender in Chicago or Houston.
The Bulls and Rockets will have to clear salary cap space to sign Anthony to four year deals in the $90 million range.
