Kent Bazemore is one of the more underrated free agents on the market this NBA offseason and there are plenty of teams that will be interested in signing him. He had a big season with the Atlanta Hawks last season and there is a good chance that the Hawks will be able to get him back. That being said, there are other teams already beginning to show interest in signing him.

According to a report from Shams Charania of Yahoo! Sports, Bazemore has entered a meeting with the Houston Rockets immediately to open up free agency.

Last season with the Hawks, Bazemore ended up averaging 11.6 points, 5.1 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game. He shot 44.1 percent from the field overall and knocked down 35.7 percent from behind the three-point arc.

Charania also mentioned that Rockets’ superstar James Harden will attend the meeting with Bazemore.

Needless to say, it will be interesting to see how the meeting goes with the Rockets. There is a good chance that Bazemore will continue forward with the other visits that he is expected to have, but Houston will do whatever they can to lock him up. Atlanta will certainly push to have a meeting following tonight’s visit with the Rockets.

Expect to hear plenty more rumors about the Rockets this offseason. They are looking to make some moves and this aggressive move to meet with Bazemore proves that. Mike D’Antoni wants to win and he wants to win this coming season.
