Jeff Green’s buzzer-beating 3-pointer lifts Celtics over Heat

The Boston Celtics beat the Miami Heat 111-110 Saturday night after Jeff Green hit a 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Green unleashed a shot in the right corner over the outstretched arms of LeBron James to give the Celtics their third consecutive win.

“The ball went in. Gerald [Wallace] made a good pass. Kelly [Olynyk] made a great screen,” said Green, via NBA.com. “I was able to get a good look. My teammates, once again, put me in a position to win the game. I have confidence in every shot that I put up. I was in the first row because I faded back so far. I saw the shot when it went through. I just shot my regular shot. I trusted that it would go in.”

Green finished with 24 points and was 5 of 8 on 3-pointers.

“We covered it as well as we could,” said Heat star LeBron James. “That was a hell of a pass by Gerald [Wallace]. It was a great catch-and-shoot. I was right on him but, we messed with the game tonight and it got us back.”

James led Miami with 25 points and 10 assists.
