Zach Johnson outlasted Louis Oosthuizen and Marc Leishman in a four-hole playoff to win the 144th Open Championship at St. Andrews.
Johnson, Oosthuizen and Leishman finished the final round tied at 15-under. On hole one of the playoff, Oosthuizen and Johnson rolled in birdie putts, while Leishman three-putted for bogey.
On hole two, Johnson birdied while the other two made par.

On the third hole, Johnson and Oosthuizen bogeyed while Leishman three-putted for the second time in the playoff and fell three shots back. On the final hole, Johnson missed his 15-foot birdie putt for the win. But Oosthuizen’s birdie putt to extend the playoff also misses, giving Johnson the victory.
Johnson joins Tiger Woods, Nick Faldo, Seve Ballesteros, Jack Nicklaus and Sam Snead as the only six golfers to win at both the Old Course and Augusta.
Congrats Zach. You showed what we all knew you were made of. Enjoy the celebration!!! — Tom Watson (@TomWatsonPGA) July 20, 2015
Jordan Spieth was one shot away from joining the three on the playoff and competing for the Grand Slam.
